Montessori School of Huntsville

The priority admissions period for consideration for the 2025-2026 school year is now through December.

Currently enrolled families will go through the re-enrollment process in December, and we will begin contact potential families, who have completed the application process, in January based on availability.

The first step in the admissions process is to complete the Potential Family Inquiry Form . Our admissions director will contact you to schedule a virtual admissions appointment once your form has been received.

The Montessori School of Huntsville (MSH) is an independent, nonprofit school that provides a loving learning environment for toddlers , preschoolers , elementary, and adolescent children through the eighth grade. Campuses are located in South Huntsville (18 mo. through 8th grade) and Hampton Cove (18 mo. through kindergarten).

At MSH, learning is an exciting process of discovery that helps children develop concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and independence.

“Indistractable:” Four Tips to Empower Children with the Autonomy to Control Their Own Time

“In a world immersed in technology, it can seem nearly impossible to escape digital distraction. With recommendations from experts including the  World Health Organization  and the  American Academy of Pediatrics , parents, caregivers, and educators have begun establishing limits to help to promote healthy screen time habits for children. Even tech moguls like  Bill Gates  and  Steve Jobs are known for setting screen time boundaries in their own families.

According to Nir Eyal, Stanford psychology expert and author of  Indistractable: How to Control Your Attention and Choose Your Life , establishing these limits is essential for safeguarding children from the lure of digital distraction. Eyal predicts that in the future, there will be two kinds of people in the world: those whose attention is easily shifted by outside influences and those who are “indistractable” (American Montessori Society, 2024).
