We are an independent, nonprofit, parent-governed school that provides a loving learning environment for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary children through the sixth grade.

Children in our classes learn at their own pace from activities they choose from hundreds of possibilities. Learning is an exciting process of discovery that helps children develop concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and independence.

Our campus is a day lit school nestled on 10 acres of certified wildlife habitat located in Southeast Huntsville on Chaney Thompson Road

The Montessori School of Huntsville (MSH) is an independent, nonprofit school that provides a loving learning environment for toddlers , preschoolers , elementary, and adolescent children through the eighth grade. Our adolescent program is expanding to include ninth grade at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year. Our campus is located in South Huntsville.

At MSH, learning is an exciting process of discovery that helps children develop concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and independence.

Are you interested in learning more about starting or continuing your family’s Montessori journey with our school?

We are accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year for students 4 years of age through 8th grade; we are accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year with  availability in all program levels.  The priority application period for consideration of enrollment is September through December.

CHOOSE Act Alabama

We are a CHOOSE Act Alabama School.

The Creating Hope and Opportunity for Our Students’ Education Act of 2024 (The CHOOSE Act) is administered by the Alabama Department of Revenue (ALDOR).

CHOOSE Act Alabama makes refundable income tax credits called education savings accounts (ESAs) available to support the success of eligible K-12 students in Alabama.

An ESA can be used to pay for tuition, fees, and other qualified education expenses at approved Education Service Providers (ESPs) in Alabama.

  • $7,000 per participating student who is enrolled in a participating school

The 2026-2027 application window is opening soon.

If you are applying for CHOOSE Act Alabama to join our school community, you must also submit a student application for enrollment at MSH. Following receipt of your student application, you will be contacted by our Director of Enrollment.
